A World War II Story of Survival, Resiliense and redeption.
By Laura Hillenbrand..

The life of the legendary Louie Zamperini a phenomenal runner that competed in the 5K Berlin Olympics in 1936, although he should have done so in the 1500m where he was World record material. Having competed myself in 800m, 1500m, 3K and 5K at school, it was easy for me to dive in.
Rebellious and with an uncanny ability to step into trouble. It was a miracle that he survived for so long floating on a raft in the South Pacific after his plane crashed with the daunting task to survive avoiding dying of hunger, dehydration, drown or be eaten by the sharks. Just when you think the story is over, he has to endure the Japanese concentration camp until the end of WWII. An example of resilience, strength of character and forgiveness. A superior human being.
