This book transformed the way I conduct business and relationships. I make the point of reading it once a year. Yes you read that right. I first bought it back in 2006. My original copy is filled with notes and scribbled all over to the point that I ended buying a couple of new copies so I could read it without distractions.

The book is not about ethics and morals. Those are table stakes. It goes way beyond providing a powerful framework, full of vivid examples written in a compelling style. The author defines character as the ability to meet the demands of reality which he presents along six dimensions (Trust, Truth, Results, dealing with Adversity, Growth and Transcendence). The advice can be put to work right away, and the examples and narrative are most engaging. He challenges you each step along the way.
